The Brain Injury Association of Georgia is comprised of survivors, family members, friends, and professionals who understand that the impact of a brain injury on not only a survivor but the family members and caregivers as well. We are committed to assisting the Georgia brain injured community with available resources to help through this difficult journey.
Our Executive and Advisory board members are comprised of survivors, volunteers, and professionals from the Georgia brain injury community. They are accomplished individuals in their respective fields who have chosen to dedicate their time and efforts to assist the Brain Injury Association of Georgia accomplish its mission. Mission: The mission of the Brain Injury Association of Georgia (BIAG) is to provide help, hope and support to the citizens of Georgia that have sustained or have been affected by brain injury
Vision: The Brain Injury Association of Georgia (BIAG) is dedicated to increasing access to quality health care, raising awareness and understanding of brain injury through prevention, education and advocacy. Together with its network of affiliates as well as support groups throughout the State of Georgia, BIAG is the "VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY" in Georgia for individuals, their families and the professionals who serve them.
Affiliation: BIAG is the Georgia State affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America. Together our mission is to create a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education and advocacy. IRS Status: BIAG is an IRS 501c3 nonprofit organization

Our Brain Injury Information Center (BIIC) Helpline at 1-800-444-6443 responds to requests such as: receiving a packet of information about Brain Injury; information about our various programs; community resources and information for other types of resources. BIAG offers a number of support groups throughout Georgia for survivors, families and friends.
BIAG is a member of VSA Arts of Georgia, a nonprofit program that provides access to the arts for BIAG and Support Group members.
Peer Visitor Insource Program (PVIP) – A conversation with a trained peer visitor volunteer can be the most impactful activity that a survivor, or their loved one, receives while at the hospital. Our program provides a LCSW who will coordinate the PVIP initial training services, the hospital will manage the PVIP in-house after the initial training and receive ongoing support when needed. firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Peer Visitor for Veterans Program is staffed with volunteers who offer hope, support, empathy, inspiration, education and resources necessary to help survivors of an injury to the brain and their families navigate the often difficult and confusing recovery process. Our Camp Program is being offered for adult survivors of TBI and their caregivers
Our organization offers education for survivors, family members and professionals. Our information and resource helpline, support groups, peer visitor for veteran programs, and online resources offer educational materials and resources for survivors and their family members. BIAG also offers various seminars throughout the year. We invite all to take advantage of these by keeping an eye on our Calendar of Events section.
