Position Title: Assistant Crisis Prevention Instructor/Coach
Program Name: Training
Hours: 40 hrs/wk
Schedule: 9:00 to 5:00
Responsibilities: Teaches 12- and 16-hour coursework for Prevent Provides crisis prevention and coaching Makes certain that rooms, surroundings and equipment provide a safe environment for classes Develops and initiates program goals Maintains accurate documentation of class attendance Attends weekly staff and supervision meetings as required by the supervisor Attends required orientation and trainings, including in-service training, conferences and seminars Has adequate computer literacy to perform agency functions
Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a culturally diverse population of clients, staff, other care providers, family and community members Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team context Professional documentation and communication skills, as well as demonstrated organizational skills Ability to negotiate and resolve differences. Ability to articulate and communicate Bay Cove's mission and strategic direction in a consistent and enthusiastic manner to departmental staff. Ability to identify opportunities and obstacles and develop effective, creative solutions to pursue opportunities. Physical capacity to assist people with mobility impairments as needed. BA/BS in Education, social work, psychology or related field and/or one year previous work experience in a human service setting preferable.

Our community-based mental health programs include Emergency Services for individuals in crisis, Outpatient Clinics, Day Treatment, Clubhouse, PACT and a full spectrum of Residential Programs.
