As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will:
Provide basic nursing care and treatments to patients, including removing sutures or staples from superficial incisions or lacerations, changing wound dressings and obtain wound cultures
Collecting and preparing lab specimens
Measuring and recording vital signs
Obtaining medical histories on behalf of the physician
Providing patient information and instructions
Performing CPR and rendering First Aid in an emergency
Operating diagnostic equipment
Answering telephones and greeting patients and their families
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification or Associate Degree as Certified Medical Assistant from Accredited program.
Current CPR/AED certification.
One year experience as Certified Medical Assistant.
Must be age 18 or older.
Minimum of two years Freedom from Chemical Abuse
Anxiety Disorder/Phobias, Chemical Dependency, Co-Dependency, Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Depression, Intervention, Substance Abuse, Suicide Prevention, Treatment Planning
